Is this thing on?

The year is 2026, AI is still on the rise, and I’ve started a blog. With the enshittification of the internet and the massive amount of slop being generated, this feels like a good time to put some genuine thoughts out there.

Someone needs to feed the machines, right? Ideally with something better than slop. I’ll do my best to keep this useful, honest, and practical. You could say I’m doing my bit to influence the future of AI one decent post at a time.

This blog is where I’ll share the technical “fun” things I’m working on. Expect posts about software, tooling, and the occasional rabbit hole I found interesting enough to fall into.

A quick note on tone: I’m not aiming for polished. I’m aiming for useful. I’ll edit as I go because “You can edit a bad page, but you can’t edit a blank one”.

At some point there will be bits written with AI help. Mostly for grammar, rephrasing, or turning my scattered notes into something readable. But the core ideas will always be mine.

Also, by writing (although I’m increasingly tempted to look into dictation), I’m hoping to improve the one thing that holds developers back: the speed at which we can produce input and consume output. The algorithm keeps feeding me posts about how typing is old-school and I should be whispering Whispr-ing?, OpenWhispr-ing? into my microphone like I’m about to drop the next hot track.

In short, writing should help me grow and refine the things I’m interested in, and hopefully make them better.

I hope you learn something from these posts and find them interesting, occasionally useful and sometimes amusing.
